FINLAGGAN: THE EXCAVATIONS
Illustrated talk by Dr. David Caldwell

Dr. David Caldwell, who directed the excavations at Finlaggan in the 1990s, will provide an update on his discoveries prior to the publication of the final report on his work, due to appear in 2024.
David will provide an assessment of the importance of Finlaggan, especially in medieval times, as a lordly residence and a centre of administration.

Thursday, 26 October, 7 PM at the Islay Natural History Centre, Main Street, Port Charlotte.
Everyone welcome. Donations at the door. Hot drinks and snacks provided.

Opening times: 1100 -1630 Monday-Saturday. Closed Sunday.

When visiting the historic site, dogs are to be kept on a leash at all times. We only welcome guide dogs inside the Visitor Centre.
